Team Press Release

The Alabama Renegades, Huntsville’s full-contact women’s football team, teamed with Girls, Inc. last week to participate in National Girl’s and Women in Sports Day as well as Family Fun Night to encourage girls to stay active and empowered.

Renegade players Char Cyr, Kelly Hardy, Kira Hardy, Sherry Pruett, Dana Sanders, Carson Wakefield, and marketing director Jamie Flynt all participated in helping girls, young ladies, and their mother's in some fun football drills.

“We always enjoy visiting with Girls, Inc. It is a wonderful program to encourage young women to be proud to be strong. They are always eager to hit the tackling dummies and to learn more about football.” said Flynt.

The ladies of the gridiron welcome members of Girls, Inc. as their official guests for the final home game of the Alabama Renegades season. The final home game will be played at Alabama A&M on June 14 against the Kentucky Karma. Kickoff is at 7pm. Members of Girls, Inc. will help with sideline duties for the Renegades as well as be honored at half-time.
